David Ciepley, a fellow of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture, is an associate professor of political science at the University of Denver and a Core Senior Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study, Central European University, Budapest. Author of Liberalism in the Shadow of Totalitarianism (2007), he is currently working on a book about the neoliberal corporation in which he challenges the modern reclassification of business corporations from “bodies politic” to wholly private concerns.
