The author of two dozen books in economics, history, and rhetoric, Deirdre Nansen McCloskey holds the Isaiah Berlin Chair in Liberal Thought at the Cato Institute in Washington, DC. She is best known for a trilogy (2006, 2010, 2016) on the Bourgeois Era from the University of Chicago Press.
