Donna Dickenson is emeritus professor of medical ethics and humanities at the University of London and holds honorary posts at the Universities of Oxford and Bristol. In recognition of her contribution to the public debate on ethics, she became in 2006 the first woman to receive the International Spinoza Lens Award.
