Leonidas Donskis (1962–2016) was a Jewish-Lithuanian philosopher, political theorist, and member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2014. His books include Moral Blindness: The Loss of Sensitivity in Liquid Modernity (with Zygmunt Bauman), Fifty Letters From the Troubled Modern World: A Philosophical-Political Diary, 2009–2012, Modernity in Crisis: A Dialogue on the Culture of Belonging, Troubled Identity and the Modern World, Power and Imagination: Studies in Politics and Literature, and Forms of Hatred: The Troubled Imagination in Modern Philosophy and Literature.
