Philip S. Gorski is the Frederick and Laura Goff Professor of sociology and religious studies at Yale University. He writes on religion and politics in comparative and historical perspective. His most recent book, coauthored with Samuel L. Perry, is The Flag and the Cross: White Christian Nationalism and the Threat to American Democracy.
Jeffrey Guhin is a sociologist at UCLA. His first book, Agents of God: Boundaries and Authority in Muslim and Christian Schools, will be published by Oxford University Press in December. He was the Abd El-Kader Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia from 2013 to 2016.
