Hello! Welcome to the new Hedgehog Review website. We’ve improved the website in a number of ways: The text is more readable, we can display art, and navigation is easier. Our newest feature is special online access for subscribers to read new issues as well as our complete archive. Subscribers will also receive special pricing on future promotions.
This year marks twenty years of The Hedgehog Review and, for the first time, you’ll be able to read previously inaccessible essays such as our interview with Elaine Scarry, Corey Robin on fear, Jean Bethke Elshtain on democratic authority, or Jeffrey Olick on Freud and the past. We hope this new website will offer not only an improved reader experience, but also become a resource you will return to again and again.
We also plan to present a changing selection of highlights from the archives—essays especially notable or perhaps prophetic, or simply those that best exemplify what makes The Hedgehog Review so unique.
In the meantime, if you already subscribe, you can set up your account by following these simple steps:
- Visit hedgehogreview.com/connect.
- Enter your Customer ID number.
- Enter the Zip Code we have on file.
- Complete the form with your name and email.
- Select a password, confirm, and click Sign Up.
Non-subscribers are welcome to browse our site and order, but for full access and the best customer experience—subscribe today!
We know there will be bumps along the way as we roll out this new website and we encourage you to contact us if you encounter problems of any kind. Please email us at hedgehog@virginia.edu with a description of the problem, plus the browser and device you’re using and/or screenshots, if possible. We will work on resolving the problem as quickly as possible.
Thank you for reading The Hedgehog Review!
